Best Liposuction San Francisco – Lipo Bay Area

Most of us have areas of our bodies that we’d like to change. We want to be smaller, firmer, slimmer … and these feelings usually lead us to trying diets and exercise regimens with varying degrees of success.

Sometimes, we can make a change. But often, even the most dedicated exercise plan and the strictest diet can’t fix the issue of stubborn fat. Only when a procedure like liposuction is introduced can we truly say goodbye to this fat forever.

Dr David Sieber – San Francisco Liposuction Surgeon

David Sieber, M.D. Liposuction Surgeon in San FranciscoDr. Sieber is a double board certified plastic surgeon in the San Francisco Bay Area who specializes in liposuction and other forms of plastic surgery. He has unique experience performing highly successful liposuction on a range of patients. What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery that involves making small incisions near pockets of stubborn excess fat, inserting a hollow cannula, and suctioning out fat cells before closing the incisions. Liposuction surgery can be a standalone surgery, but it can also be done in combination with other surgical procedures, such as tummy tuck surgery, breast augmentation, face-lift, mommy makeover, arm lift, or Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

I have done multiple procedures and treatments with Dr. Sieber and Sally. The results of all of them look amazing and they dramatically improve my appearance!

Previously I had some fat underneath my chin, on my neck, abdomen and arms. I went through two liposuctions three months ago, and the results are so amazing! Dr. Sieber and his team members are very responsible, and he is really skilled and specialized in liposuction. I am very satisfied with the results! The recovery of these surgeries are also not that bad, especially for the neck and chin lipo, it’s not painful to me.

I previously reviewed Dr. Sieber after my breast surgery, and thought I should update, as I underwent liposuction on my stomach, back, and flanks almost 8 weeks ago. Yeah, he looks like Superman… and I’m pretty sure it’s because he IS. I’ve always had a somewhat hourglass figure, but even at my smallest was never able to achieve the dramatic hip to waist ratio I really wanted. He made my waist SO tiny.

Lipo Options

Dr. David Sieber possesses a wealth of experience and outstanding expertise in conducting various liposuction procedure techniques. He specializes in two approaches that prioritize patient safety and maximize effectiveness:

Ultrasonic liposuction

Ultrasonic liposuction involves a surgeon inserting a probe into the patient to emit sonic vibrations, breaking up fat in problem areas. External ultrasonic liposuction, on the other hand, employs a paddle-like tool emitting sonic vibrations outside the body and through the skin.

Ultrasound assisted liposuction

Ultrasound-assisted liposuction employs a rapid-vibrating cannula emitting ultrasound energy. This energy liquefies fat cells as the cannula passes through them, facilitating their suction removal.

Tumescent liposuction

Tumescent liposuction utilizes local anesthesia to target and remove large volumes of subcutaneous fat effectively. While the suctioned fat cells are permanently eliminated, after a few months, overall body fat typically returns to the pre-treatment level.

Power assisted liposuction

Power-assisted liposuction (PAL) represents an advanced technique, utilizing innovative technology for faster fat removal with reduced trauma compared to previous options. The specialized oscillating cannula employs rapid vibrations to effectively break up fat cells, ensuring precise and efficient suctioning.

These methods have been carefully selected by Dr. David Sieber due to their proven track record and ability to deliver optimal results for his patients.

Ideal Liposuction Candidates

There are many types of liposuction patients as this procedure can be used alone or in conjunction with other surgical procedures. Still, most patients who are good candidates for liposuction:

  • Are in good physical health
  • Do not have serious ongoing medical issues
  • Are not more than 10 to 15 lbs. from their ideal weight
  • Want to reduce small amounts of excess fat and recontour their shape
  • Have firm, elastic skin
  • Have overall good muscle tone

Remember that liposuction is a cosmetic procedure for fat removal, but it is not a weight loss treatment, nor does it target loose skin. Only limited amounts of excess fat can be removed with this surgery.

Liposuction Preparation

As with all major surgical procedures, preparation is key. Several weeks prior to any plastic surgery, including liposuction, you may need to:

  • Stop all medications and supplements that might increase your risk of bleeding (check with your doctor beforehand)
  • Stop smoking and vaping
  • Focus on consuming a healthy diet (aim for 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight daily)

 Liposuction Recovery

Liposuction San FranciscoMost patients experience a quick recovery after liposuction surgery. Here’s what you can expect while you are healing.

First, you will be placed in a foam vest and compression suit to help reduce the accumulation of fluid beneath the skin where fat was removed. The vest and compression suit must be worn 24 hours a day for the first month. After that, the foam vest can be removed, and a tighter compression is to be worn for 12 hours a day (day or night) for another two months.

You will have two drainage tubes (one in front and one in back), which will be removed seven to 10 days after surgery. All patients should start receiving lymphatic drainage massages starting the day after surgery.

Common symptoms after traditional surgical liposuction include:

  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Minimal pain (controllable with medication)

Most patients are ready to return to work within five to seven days, particularly those who work desk jobs. It may take three to six months for all swelling to resolve completely.*

Liposuction Cost San Francisco

Cost of liposuction in San Francisco Bay Area: What San Francisco patients will pay for liposuction will vary from patient to patient. Typically, we go to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) for baseline cosmetic surgery costs.

However, additional factors, such as the following, will also be considered when looking at San Francisco liposuction cost:

  • Fees charged by your surgeon. More qualified surgeons have a better track record when it comes to the outcomes of their surgeries. They will also typically charge more for their services.
  • Fees charged by anesthesiologists (and costs associated with anesthesia). Some practices will offer patients a range of options when it comes to anesthesia and who administers it. Naturally, more anesthesia and a more-qualified anesthesiologist means a higher liposuction cost.
  • Surgical facility fees. The cost of liposuction will differ depending on where you have your surgery (hospital, in-office, etc.).
  • Extent of surgery. More intense liposuction on multiple parts of the body will increase the overall cost of liposuction procedures.

Lastly, remember that the cost liposuction requires in San Francisco will automatically be higher than in smaller cities and less-populated states. Surgery is always more expensive where the cost of living is higher.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is liposuction the same as a tummy tuck?

Both procedures can help to create a flatter and more toned stomach. However, liposuction simply removes unwanted abdominal fat, and a tummy tuck removes excess skin and, if necessary, repairs abdominal muscles.

What areas of my body can be improved with liposuction? *

Virtually any area of the body with stubborn fatty deposits can be reshaped and contoured through liposuction. The most commonly liposuctioned areas are the abdomen, thighs, arms, back, chest, neck, and love handles.

How much does liposuction cost?

Each treatment plan is uniquely created for each patient, including which areas of the body to target and how much fat to remove, so it’s necessary to meet with Dr. Sieber for an in-person examination to receive an accurate price quote. Call for  liposuction pricing.

What choices will I have to make before surgery?

Your biggest decision will be regarding where on your body you’d like to eliminate stubborn fat, keeping in mind multiple areas can be targeted at once. At your consultation, Dr. Sieber will also discuss which of the two main types of liposuction would be best for you: traditional liposuction or VASER-assisted liposuction.

Can you get liposuction under local anesthesia?

There are a lot of surgeons who advertise liposuction under local anesthetic. These procedures are often called fun sculpting, air sculpting etc. All of these types of liposuction typically result in a poor aesthetic result. Dr. Sieber tends to see a lot of patients who’ve undergone these types of liposuction only to be displeased with the amount of fat removed and their end results.

How common are liposuction complications?

The most common complications after surgery are seroma (fluid collections), hyperpigmentation, contour irregularities, and fibrosis. These can happen for a variety of reasons and may be due to a patient’s own course of healing, not following post-operative protocols, or due to surgeon technique.

Complications can happen with any surgeon, so you’ll want to choose a surgeon who can minimize the risk of complications as much as possible. The three things that help minimize complications the most are training, experience, and post-operative protocols. Dr. Sieber’s experience, training, and expertise help to reduce the risk of complications as much as possible. Dr. Sieber adheres to an extremely regimented post-operative protocol as well, which not only helps patients heal faster, but also minimizes any associated risks.

How much weight is lost with liposuction?

Although liposuction typically results in an average fat loss of five (up to 11) pounds, the primary objective is not weight loss. Liposuction aims to eliminate stubborn fat, contour the body, and enhance areas resistant to diet and exercise, helping you achieve the desired look and feel.

Is liposuction meant for weight loss?

Liposuction is not a procedure designed for weight loss. It’s a body-contouring procedure to remove stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. Despite the fact that the procedure targets pockets of fat, most patients do not lose significant amounts of weight from this procedure.

Are overweight individuals good candidates for liposuction?

For individuals who are slightly overweight (within 5 to 10 pounds of their ideal weight), liposuction can help in smoothing out certain areas of the body that don’t respond to regular exercise or healthy eating. However, those who are more than 10 to 15 pounds overweight are not ideal liposuction candidates, and they should consider attempting to lose additional excess fat before seeking liposuction.

What happens if I gain fat after surgery?

Gaining fat after surgery will not look good. In order to maintain the optimal look that you and Dr. Sieber worked to achieve through liposuction, it’s best to eat healthy and exercise regularly. Maintaining a weight within 5 to 10 lbs. is very important for the best long-term outcomes.

At the same time, it is possible to gain a significant amount of weight and have that fat not go directly to the areas treated with liposuction. Instead, in most cases, the fat you’d gain would be distributed proportionally to the new shape of your body. In other words, while you would likely get larger due to a large weight gain, the overall shape should remain.

How permanent is liposuction?

Liposuction permanently removes fat cells. So long as you maintain your weight through a healthy diet and exercising regularly, the shape achieved by your liposuction should remain.

How long after liposuction can you see results?

In patients having liposuction for the first time, final results will be seen in 3 to 6 months. Patients who have had previous CoolSculpting and/or previous liposuction might need to wait 6 to 12 months to see their final results. These patients may also require additional massages and/or more time wearing the foam vest for better compression.

Can you see scars from liposuction?

Modern liposuction procedures use tiny incisions and very thin instruments to remove fat from specific, targeted areas. The appearance of the scars after surgery depends on several factors, such as genetics, surgical technique, and incision care. Although liposuction incisions are usually less than 1cm, Dr. Sieber takes care to place the incisions in the most inconspicuous areas on the body as possible.

What can I do to get the best lipo results?

Patients who have the best results after surgery adhere as closely as possible to the prescribed post-operative protocols. Simply follow these protocols. Each one is specifically designed to not only minimize complications, but to also maximize healing.

When patients wear poorly fitting garments or do not get massages, they tend to get more fibrosis and poor aesthetic results. Dr. Sieber also recommends a good diet and exercise regimen after surgery. Patients who get in even better shape after liposuction end up with even better results.

Mommy Makeover San Francisco

Mommy Makeover San Francisco

Having a child is a beautiful, natural experience for most women. The profound act of nurturing a new life and bringing it into the world is a uniquely rewarding process that only mothers can understand.

But in addition to forever changing the way a woman relates to the world and herself, pregnancy can leave an unwanted impression on a woman’s body, with issues like muscle separation and loose skin which can negatively affect core strength, urinary incontinence, the way that clothes fit, and ultimately, self esteem. For these women, a mommy makeover may be the answer.*

What is a Mommy Makeover

A mommy makeover is a combination of procedures designed to help restore a woman to her pre-baby body.* Although each person’s bundle of needed procedures is different, mommy makeovers typically consist of a tummy tuckliposuction, Brazilian butt lift and a breast augmentation, , or breast implants with a lift.

Pregnancy and childbirth can cause significant changes to a woman’s body, including excess skin, stretched abdominal muscles, sagging breasts, and stubborn pockets of fat that are difficult to lose through diet and exercise alone.

While a mommy makeover can be a transformative procedure for many women, it’s important to have realistic expectations and understand that the recovery time can be several weeks or even months. It’s also important to prioritize safety and choose a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon to perform the procedure.

Mommy Makeover Candidates

While the best way to determine whether you’re a candidate for a mommy makeover procedure is to consult one-on-one with Dr. Sieber, women with healthy lifestyle who want to improve their body contours, whether in their abdomen or elsewhere, are often good candidates.

While it’s possible to sustain a pregnancy after having a tummy tuck or other abdominal procedure, the pregnancy likely will undo any of the positive impacts the procedures could have, meaning you could need another mommy makeover. Therefore, it’s best to only consider having a mommy makeover when you are certain you’re not going to become pregnant in the future and are done breastfeeding your kids.

Each woman’s anatomy and medical history are different, so San Francisco Double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Sieber, will conduct a thorough examination of you to determine which combination of procedures is best to address all of your concerns.

Mommy Makeover Technique

While each patient’s needs are unique, most mommy makeovers include some combination of breast augmentation and/or lift and a abdominoplasty, which may include liposuction. These procedures can be performed all in one day in an outpatient setting. Dr. Sieber is double board certified plastic surgeon specializing in the Mommy Makeover technique.

He operates out of the fully accredited surgical suite adjacent to his office, which is very convenient for his patients as they are already familiar with the location after having visited his office..

To rejuvenate the appearance of the breasts, Dr. Sieber may perform a breast augmentation, which involves making a small incision, typically under the breast, and inserting either a silicone or saline breast implant. Breast augmentation is often done in conjunction with a breast lift, which is a procedure that lifts the breasts to a higher point on the chest wall.

In the event that existing breast volume is adequate, a breast lift without an implant can improve breast sagging. It’s important to note that certain types of incisions made during a breast lift could potentially disrupt milk glands, which is another reason to ensure you are through having children before proceeding with your mommy makeover.

To re-contour the abdomen, a abdominoplasty procedure is often the next step after breast rejuvenation. A tummy tuck, also called an abdominoplasty, involves lifting and removing excess skin and repairing the muscles in your abdomen.

Abdominal muscles that have stretched apart during pregnancy are also repaired during this procedure, resulting in a stomach that appears flatter and firmer. The procedure may also include liposuction if your body has areas, such as in the abdomen, hip, or flanks, that have excess fatty deposits.

Recovery

Because mommy makeovers typically include a combination of surgeries, recovery could be quite complex, but many women are able to fully resume all normal activities in as few as six weeks after their surgery.

Although Dr. Sieber’s tummy tuck is typically drainless, in certain cases they may be necessary for optimal recovery.

After surgery, you will be placed in a compression garment, which is critical to wear for the first several weeks to help with swelling. While the drains will be removed about a week after surgery, you will need to wear this compression garment for at least six to eight weeks.

TWO WEEKS TO A MONTH

In the first two weeks to month after the surgery, you will probably be very swollen. While this could be startling, it’s not a reason for concern. Swelling after a tummy tuck is very common and will lessen over time. You also may experience abdominal muscle spasms and tightness; this is also normal, since a typical tummy tuck involves reconstructing those muscles.

The worst pain and discomfort will likely begin to subside after the first week or so, but you will feel sore and uncomfortable frequently, especially the first few days. You’ll probably feel pulling, tugging, tightness, tingling and some numbness throughout your abdomen.*

Do not lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for at least the first month.  Still want to know more about the mommy makeover?

Mommy Makeover Cost in San Francisco

The cost of a mommy makeover can vary depending on several factors, including the specific combination of procedures performed, the surgeon’s expertise, and the geographic location of the practice.

This cost typically includes the surgeon’s fees, anesthesia, and facility fees.

However, it’s important to note that the cost may not include pre-operative medical testing, post-operative garments, or other related expenses. Additionally, because a mommy makeover typically involves multiple procedures, the recovery time may be longer and more involved than for a single procedure. Call For Pricing!

Frequently Asked Questions

A few variables go into deciding the right time for you. One, you should be sure that you are done having children. Second, your youngest child should be weaned from the breast for at least six months before your procedure. Typical procedures included in mommy makeovers, such as breast lifts and tummy tucks, can complicate pregnancy and breastfeeding. You also will need to ensure you have constant help at home at least for the first 2 weeks, as you will be unable to lift weight of more than 10 pounds during that time.

Absolutely; in fact, San Francisco cosmetic surgeon Dr. Sieber routinely performs liposuction as a part of his tummy tuck and mommy makeover procedures. When used in combination with a tummy tuck, liposuction can often provide the best results in contouring the waist and hips to match the newly flattened and contoured abdomen.*

This depends on what procedures you had and how old your children are, but it can take as little as two weeks to as long as six weeks for you to be able to care for children alone again. Many patients are able to return to work and childcare within two to three weeks, but it will take at least 6 weeks to return to exercise.

This depends on which procedures you’re planning to get. For example, procedures that involve skin contouring should not be done if you are more than 10-15 pounds from your goal weight, as any additional weight loss could cause sagging even after you fully heal from surgery. It’s best to have an open, honest conversation with San Francisco plastic surgeon Dr. Sieber during your consultation about your weight journey and goals so that you can come up with a plan that will have the most successful outcome.

Eat a healthy, nutritious diet and continue your regular exercise routine so that your body is healthy and strong for the procedures. For the most optimal recovery process, you should ensure your home is a stress-free setting. That means arranging for child and pet care, preparing food in advance, setting up your recovery area, and having someone to help with chores and tasks while you heal. You’ll need to focus on yourself, which is a challenge for most moms.

While these procedures are usually done in one day to limit the number of times a mother will need to arrange for help around the house or take time off work, it is possible to stagger procedures in some cases. You can discuss this with Bay Area plastic surgeon Dr. Sieber during your consultation to determine whether what will be the best course of action for you.

If you are planning on having additional children, you should wait to undergo your mommy makeover until you are certain you’re not going to have any additional pregnancies, as that can negatively impact or totally undo the results of your mommy makeover. Additionally, some mommy makeover procedures, such as a breast lift, may prevent you from being able to breastfeed in the future. Also, while mommy makeover procedures like tummy tucks aren’t likely to keep you from successfully carrying a child, pregnancy is unpredictable, so it’s best to wait until you are certain your childbearing years are over.

Tummy Tuck San Francisco – Abdominoplasty

Tummy tuck San Francisco addresses loose skin on the abdomen — a common problem for many women. Pregnancy, genetics, and fluctuating weight over time can all leave you with excess skin, stretch marks, and widened or loose abdominal muscles that are resistant to diet and exercise.

A tummy tuck or abdominoplasty will restore your youthful figure, lifting, trimming, and tightening the loose skin and muscle on your abdomen and sculpting the body you’ve always desired.* If you also have stubborn areas of excess fat on your abdomen, back, or flanks, then these can be addressed with liposuction at the same time as your tummy tuck surgery.*

Patient Testimonials

There are a lot of good plastic surgeons out there but there’s only one that’s above them all- Dr. Sieber! An unbelievable skilled surgeon/sculptor. I’m almost 6 months post-op (mini tummy tuck/Lipo360/j-Plasma) & still do a double take when I see myself in the mirror (that really me?!); his aesthetics will exceed your expectations. My incision was so meticulously closed- it’s fading beautifully. He also has a great knowledgeable team;

I saw Sally NP-C for facial fillers last month, phenomenal! Loved how with less syringes I got better results than I had in the past with other injectors.

The best surgeon in SF. After going for consultations to 5 top surgeons, I did not feel the level of support and comfort that I did with Dr Sieber.
My surgery was long and complex but I was in good hands. I felt 100% supported after surgery with constant communication with Sieber office staff and himself.

I am looking forward to having breast surgery one day and I wouldn’t even consider going to a different doctor. I recommend Dr Sieber to everyone and only trust his expertise!
The surgery I had was: BBL and Tummy Tuck  with lipo. Long 8+ hours under anesthesia. BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE.

Abdominoplasty Technique

A tummy tuck may be performed as an outpatient surgery or may require an overnight stay. During the body procedure, Dr. Sieber will make the appropriate incisions depending on the type of tummy tuck technique that you require; such as a mini, traditional, or extended tummy tuck.

Dr. Sieber believes in placing his incisions as low as possible so that when you wear low cut jeans or swimsuits, your tummy tuck scar should not be visible.*

During your surgery, Dr. Sieber will perform liposuction  of excess fat, if needed, to re-contour your hips and narrow your waistline.* Any abdominal muscles which were pulled apart during pregnancy will be tightened back together, and then your excess skin will be removed to leave you with a narrowed waist and flat abdomen.*

Tummy Tuck Before and After Photos

Tummy Tuck in San Francisco Bay Area

Recovery After Tummy Tuck Surgery

Tummy tuck patients can expect moderate swelling and bruising throughout the abdomen and in any areas where liposuction was performed. Wearing a compression garment will help reduce the swelling.

Patients typically have noticeable swelling for the first 1-2 weeks after surgery before it begins to taper off, but it can take anywhere from 3-6 months for your swelling to completely resolve. Immediately after surgery, you will notice that some areas above your incision line are numb with decreased sensation. *

This is normal. Your sensation will return as the swelling decreases and your nerves recover from the stress of surgery.*

Tummy Tuck Recovery Week 1

Tummy tuck recovery can take some time. For at least the first week after surgery, you’re going to be sore and uncomfortable. It is normal to feel pulling, tugging and tightness throughout your abdomen for the first few weeks to months after surgery. This will gradually improve with time.*

Tummy Tuck Recovery Week 2

You should refrain from any rigorous activity for the first 2 weeks after surgery, and avoid lifting anything heavier than 10 lbs. for at least 4 weeks. So if you have kids at home, you’ll need to have someone around to help.

Tummy Tuck Recovery Week 4

You can start moderate exercise at 2 weeks post tummy tuck, more intense exercise at 4 weeks post op and you’ll be released back to all normal activities at 6 weeks post-op. Most patients are ok going back to work after the first week.

Tummy Tuck Scars

One of the biggest deterrents of tummy tuck for many patients is the potential for scars. We’ve all seen pictures or had friends with long wide scars after their tummy tuck surgery or another plastic surgery. Fortunately, that doesn’t always need to be the case.

First, the length of your tummy tuck scar is largely going to depend on the amount of excess tissue and loose skin that needs to be removed, so those patients with just a small amount of excess skin may be candidates for a short scar or mini tummy tuck procedure.

For every patient, Dr. Sieber uses his extensive skill, advanced training, and knowledge as a plastic surgeon to deliver the best possible scar results even after 5 years.* He also puts all of his plastic surgery patients on a scar therapy program to help you form the best quality scars possible.*

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m afraid of having a long tummy tucks scar. Will I still be able to wear a two-piece swimsuit?

Having a tummy tuck is a major operation and to get the best possible results, you will end up with a scar. Dr. Sieber will be able to give you a better idea of the length of that abdominoplasty scar during your initial consultation. Dr. Sieber places his incisions as low as possible so that you’re able to wear any clothes you want after abdominoplasty surgery.* He also puts all of his patients on a scar therapy program after abdominoplasty surgery to make sure you end up with the best scar possible to avoid the need for tummy tuck scar removal.*

When will I be able to go back to work after Tummy Tuck surgery?

Most patients find that they require about 1 week off from work, depending on your job. Immediately after abdominoplasty surgery, you will be limited in your mobility and will need someone to help you for the first few days. During the first week after surgery, you will experience tightness in your incision and where your muscles were tightened. This sensation will gradually improve during the first 1-2 weeks following your surgery. * You should not lift anything heavier than 10 lbs. for the first 4 weeks after surgery.

How long after abdominoplasty surgery before I can see results?

You’ll notice a huge difference in your body as soon as you wake up from abdominoplasty surgery!* Although you will see a difference right away, you will have some swelling for at least 3-6 months after surgery. Wearing your compression garments as instructed, limiting salt intake, and staying active will all help to reduce your swelling faster.*

How much weight can be removed by abdominoplasty?

Abdominoplasty focuses on body contouring, not weight loss. Although it enhances abdominal contours, it’s not a weight loss procedure. However, patients may experience up to 10 pounds of weight reduction from the removal of excess skin and fat.

Can you have a breast lift tummy tuck same time?

Yes. You can have a breast lift tummy tuck in the same surgery.

How much is a tummy tuck?

The tummy tuck cost in San Francisco Bay Area will vary depending on the amount of skin and/or fat that needs to be removed and the amount of muscle tightening that is required.

Liposuction vs abdominoplasty: Which one is right for me?

A tummy tuck tightens the abs and addresses loose skin while liposuction removes small pockets of excess fat. To know for sure which procedure is right for you, book a liposuction and tummy tuck consultation in San Francisco CA. However, a liposuction breast reduction only targets extra fat in the breasts and does not address sagging that may be occurring.

How much is a tummy tuck procedure in San Francisco?

A Tummy Tuck in San Francisco cost varies on several factors. Contact Sieber Plastic Surgery to book a consultation.

Are tummy tucks worth the money?

Absolutely! Abdominoplasty is undoubtedly worth it. Within three months, most patients witness remarkable results, and by six months, they’re astonished by the transformation. In some cases, the belly continues to improve and flatten for up to a year.

What is the difference between tummy tuck and abdominoplasty?

A tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery that eliminates excess skin, fat deposits, and abdominal muscle tissue. While “tummy tuck” is informal, “abdominoplasty” is the scientific term for this procedure.

Is it painful to get an abdominoplasty?

Following a standard tummy tuck, expect bruising, tenderness, and swelling. You might feel tired and experience moderate pain for a few days to a week after surgery, but it will gradually subside. Pain management can include painkillers or pain injections, providing relief during the recovery period.

Dr. Sieber is attentive, responsive, and well trained. I had seen him for Botox and filler and he had done both without any pain or bruising and more importantly the results were fabulous. He has met with me on time at each appointment. He communicates what to expect, made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure, checked on my healing every day post procedure. He couldn’t be more delightful not more talented. I had seen other plastic surgeons for in office treatments over the past decade and Dr. Sieber is at the top of the list in terms of delivering the desired outcome and high quality care.*
